Alexandria VA auto repair

I dealt with Kris and he was pleasant, professional and made me feel welcome. He told me there was a wait but informed me the old town was about a 20 minute walk and things to occupy my time there. A manicure and a little shopping happened and when I got back, my vehicle was ready and I was greeted with a smile.

Went in for a state inspection. Greeted by friendly staff. They completed the work in less time than they had estimated. Always professional (and nice!) at Yates.

Annual state inspection

Got the car towed here for a broken alternator. They had it fixed within the day. No problems to report. Great People, Great Shop.

Tires replaced on truck, great service, ordered and mounted

I was driving home from work and realized about 5 minutes from my house that a tire was losing air. I close enough to Yates to ride over to see if putting air in would fix it. (Yates is one of the very few places that still allows you to pump up/test psi of your tires for free!!) Air was definitely leaking out and it was less than ten minutes until closing time. I took a chance and went to see if there was someone who could fix the tire. Michael met me at the door and said that while there wasn’t anyone to fix the tire that close to closing time, he didn’t want to leave me stranded. (We only have 1 car and I have to leave for work in DC at 5:45 in the morning.) He swapped out the tire with my spare, saving a call to wait for AAA, and let me leave my tire overnight so it could be fixed and then replaced after work the next day. This saved me time and hassle and I’m grateful. I’ve been going to Yates since we moved to Alexandria in 2004. My dad actually graduated from VTS in 1970 and while he was attending, he brought his ‘68 VW Beetle to Yates for service. Thanks for the multi-generational service.

They where very helpful and answered any question I had

The work and customer service is top notch! I had a tire rotation and alignment done and they were quick. They also provided great follow-on recommendations to ensure my car continues to run perfectly. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I've been taking my car to Yates for many years because they do a great job at very reasonable prices and I like that they do not try to "up sell" you on any services. The staff at Yates are knowledgeable and always friendly & courteous. It was a pleasure working with Will, my Service Advisor. I had my car detailed in addition to regular maintenance and Aaron did a fantastic job! He was even able to buff out scratches that I thought might need body work. I left Yates today with a car that runs great and looks terrific! I highly recommend this company for all your car service needs.
